I have had the opportunity to restore many statues. The
majority have been plaster cast, a few finely carved
wood, like the one on the right and even cast metal.
The statues have been in different stages of disrepair,
missing limbs, multiple over painting, varnished gold
leaf and chips are typical.

The statue on the left was severely marred by
bad repairs, see detail below. I sculpted the
face and did an appropriate restoration.
